COP ( Career Oriented Program )

 

Ugc sponspored career oriented program in computer applications for office management and front office approved by Goa university


This course is divided into three modules :


1)Certificate course of 1 yesr duratrion

2) diploma certification

3) Advanced Diploma

 

On completion of 1st year students are awarded a certificate .

 

If continued for the second successive year and on successfully completing the second year the student is awarded with a diploma certification.

 

On completion of the third year the student is awarded with an advanced diploma

 

This course was started on 29th august 2009

The course has theory and practical sessions.In adiition students have to attend a on the job training.

 

PGDCET

 

Post Graduate Diploma in Computers and Educational Technology” (PGDCET)  a two-year, part-time programme, was specially designed to train in-service school computer teachers in the state of Goa. This was a Govt. of Goa initiative based on the demand from on contract computer teachers. This course was conducted 2008-09 and 2009-10.The objective of the PGDCET progarmme was to train the teachers in the area of Pedagogy and Information Technology so that they accquired the necessary competencies to carry on following tasks as a computer teacher at school

  • To transact the syllabi recommended by Goa Board for the Computer Courses for Std. Vth to XIIth, in theory as well as practical
  • To acquire minor trouble shooting skills in Hardware, Software and Network maintenance for the upkeep of the computer laboratory
  • To independently maintain and update the school website
  • To support subject school teachers with content creation tools
  • To support school administration in selection of computer hardware/software

 

On contract school teachers (candidates) who are on the rolls of Directorate of Education for last 3 years. This is not a regular University program open for registration. This training program will be carried out by the University as one time activity. The role of the University is limited to certification.

 

Desk Top Publishing (DTP)

Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme on “Desk Top Publishing” was organized in association with MSME-DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE MARGAO-GOA. The programme was conducted for five days a week i.e. from 4th January 2010 to 17th February 2010 in the college premises. The resource person were invited and paid by MSME.The participants were charged Rs.200/- as a course fee by MSME.The course was designed to train the participants in coral-draw, photoshop, page-maker and to develop soft skill among students. The certificate was issued by MSME to all the participants on the concluding day.

 

The Short Term Conversational Portuguese Course

The Heritage cell of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim in collaboration with the Communicare Cultural Centre, organized a short term course in Conversational Portuguese Level 1 and Level 2 in the College Premises. The course was conducted from 9th August, 2010 to 6th October, 2010. The Resource Person for the course was Ms. Joana Marto, M.A. in Portuguese Literature Lisbon. The classes were held twice a week on Monday and Wednesday. Level 1 was held from 3.00 p.m.to 4.30 p.m. and Level 2 from 4.40 p.m. to 6.10 p.m. Sixteen participants successfully completed the courses on 6th October, 2010.

Certificates for the course were handed over to the participants by Ms. Nalini Elvino de Souza – Director of Communicare Cultural Centre and Rev. Dr. Simão Diniz - Principal of Rosary College at a valedictory function held for the same. The course was coordinated by Ms. Alison Dias e Quadros.
