BA
Bachelor of Arts or BA is a full time degree programme for students wishing to pursue a career in liberal arts,languages, current affairs, history, economics, psychology, etc. The duration of this programme is of three academic years, each having 2 semesters.
Students passing the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of Arts/Science/Commerce/Vocational Streams conducted by Goa Board are eligible to join the First Year BA provided the subjects offered are relevant to the course. Students passing HSSC (Std.XII) Examination conducted by boards other than the Goa Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education seeking admission to FYBA will have to obtain eligibility or permission from the Goa University.
First Year BA
(7 papers of 100 mks + 1 compulsory paper in Environmental Studies of 50 mks)
This year opens the door to the world of BA. From Languages, Information Technology, Economics, Sociology to Current Affairs History, Geography, etc. students get to learn a whole range of exciting subjects.
Second Year BA
In this year, students get to choose one of the following papers as a subject allied to any one of the major subjects chosen in the previous year : - Child Psychology, Mass Comm., Commercial Konkani Stage, History of Ecology and Environment:Goa.
Third Year BA
The Student answers 7 papers carrying 100 mks each in this year. Included in this is one paper from the Field Work cum Project WOrk Oriented Group or 2 skill based papers.
BCom
Bachelor of Commerce or BCom is a full time degree programme for students wishing to pursue a career in Commerce-related fields like Accounting, Economics, Management, Marketing, Advertising. The duration of this course is three academic years, each having 2 semesters.

First Year Bcom

This year introduces the students to Modern day Commerce and Economics. Students learn a wide range of subjects like Mathematics, Financial Accounting, Principals of Management, cost accounting, marketing, etc.
Second Year Bcom
In this year students are introduced to interesting topics like Business Law, Business finance, Business Communication, Advertising and Distribution & Retail Management.
Third Year BCom
This year among other subjects, the students learn Entrepreneurship Management and Industrial Management.Also the student will have to answer a project paper and a skill based paper.
BCA
Bachelor of Computer Application or BCA course is full time degree programme aimed at imparting IT knowledge and building skills to develop and customize solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises . The duration of this course is three academic years, each having 2 semesters. Evaluation is done using a grading system.
Students passing the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of Arts/Science/Commerce/Vocational Streams conducted by Goa Board are eligible to join the First Year BCA (Com.) provided the subjects offered are relevant to the course. Students passing HSSC (Std.XII) Examination conducted by boards other than the Goa Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education seeking admission to FYBCA will have to obtain eligibility or permission from the Goa University.
Candidates applying for admission to the BCA programme are required to answer an entrance test. The intake capacity is limited to only 40 seats as per Ordinance of Goa University.
First Year BCA
This year takes the students into the world of Computers along with a touch of Accounting. Students venture into the world of programming and problem solving in Java.
Second Year BCA
Along with Database Management Systems and Computer NEtworks, the students delve into Managerial Economics and Cost Accounting.
Third Year BCA
This year among other subjects like Software Engineering and Web Technology, the students also have to complete Project Work along with study of topics like e-Commerce Applications and ERP System.
BBA
Bachelor of Business Administration or BBA is a three year full time programme in order to build competence in students to effectively undertake entry level and middle level managerial jobs in organisations. Each year will consist of 3 terms. In addition, there will be a compulsory summer term (job training) of eight weeks in the first and second year. Each term will be of 7.5 to 8 weeks duration.
Students passing the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination are eligible to join the First Year BBA. The concerned candidates will have to answer the Common Entrance Test (Undergraduate Aptitude Test - UGAT) conducted by the All India Management Assoc.(AIMA), New Delhi. They are required to fill in the UGAT application form indicating on the same the college of his/her preference. The date of test will be advertised on local dailies.
As per the Ordinance of the Goa University, the intake capacity is limited to 30 seats only.
The first three terms begins the journey into the world of Management. The students are trained in Soft Skills and IT Skills along with subjects like Marketing Management, Human Resource Management & Managerial Economics.
The next few terms exposes the students to a wide variety of subjects ranging from Organizational Behaviour and Macroeconomics to Business Law, Labour Law, operations Research along with a number of exciting projects, Case Analysis, Seminars and interactions with Persons from the Industry.
MCom
The duration of the Master of Commerce or MCom Degree Programme shall be four semesters spread over 2 academic years. Candidates who have passed the examination for a degree in BCom or an equivalent examination of the Goa University or any other University as recoginsed thereto. At the end of the second semester every student will have to undergo 2 months of summer training to gain job experience.
First Year MCom
The First year introduces the students to Subjects like Advanced Financial Management, Capital Markets, Insuarance Marketing, security Analysis, Entrepreneurial Management, etc.
Second Year MCom
This year offers the students to specialise in Accounting & Finance or Business Management.
Computer Appl.
UGC Sponsosred career oriented certificate/Diploma/Advanced Diploma course in Computer Application for Office Management and Front Office.
The main aim of this course is to train the students to operate modern office packages. The course in Compuer Applications for Office Management and Front Office includes 3 inter-linke modules : Certificate / Diploma/ Adv. Diploma.
The duration of each module is about 9 months corressponding to 1 academic year.On the completion of Each Year successfully, a Certificate or Diploma or Advanced Diploma is awarded respectively.
